Mercer Science

Today we worked on the time travel advertisement. Students need to have
this completed for Friday or no later than Monday.

Mercer Humanities

Today we went over answers to ancient Japan and started modern Japan.
Students need to finish the questions for tomorrow.

Kettner's Science

Today we discussed different ways to conserve soil. Students also got
their Rock Cycle quiz back. Students may make corrections by clearly
explaining why their answer does not make sense. This is due on
Thursday. In class, students worked on a note taking guide for sections
3-1 and 3-2. This should be completed for tomorrow's class. Students
were also given flashcards to complete for Thursday.

Mercer Science

Today I introduced the final project. Students are to create an
advertisement for a certain geologic time period. Students have the
opportunity to work with a partner or alone. The students will preent
their advertisement on June 11th, 14th, and 15th.

Mercer Humanities

Today we went over the answers about the emergence of communist China
and the effects it had on the people. Students read about ancient Japan
and had 9 questions to answer for tomorrow.

We started to review for our final on Friday.

Today we breifly went into the the geologic time scale. Due to other
activities in the building we were not able to go into full depth

Today we went over our answers about Chinese philosophers. We then went
over some teacher provided notes about the transition into modern
China.

Kettner's Science

Today we did a short activity to show how surface area affects the rate
of weathering. For homework, please bring a soil sample in. Make sure
the bag is labeled with the original location of the soil.

Mercer Science

Today we did an activity involving rock layers and using a fossil
index.
No homework tonight.

Mercer Humanities

Today we read about Chinese philosophers in class. Students had to
answer 10 questions from the worksheet and 5 questions from the board in
class. Most students need to finish this at home.

Today we started the unit on fossils.

Mercer Humanities

Today we read about East Asian geography and took some notes. The notes
should be finished for tomorrow.
The "How does geography affect culture?" paper was due today as well.

Kettner's Science

We went over the Rock cycle today. Make sure you have all of your
worksheets and notes for tomorrow's class. You will be taking an
open-note/worksheet quiz tomorrow. Get everything organized and review
your notes tonight.
